Mariculture Photo Contest

The Alaska Mariculture Alliance and the Alaska Mariculture Cluster invite you to enter in the Mariculture Photo Contest!

Enter for a chance to win cash prizes and have your photos displayed at the Mariculture Photography Gallery at the 3rd Annual Mariculture Conference of Alaska! Photo entries will be judged by a panel of local photographers. Contest winners will be announced at the Mariculture Conference of Alaska and by email on February 29, 2024, with one final vote for a public choice award of conference attendees. The deadline to enter the contest is February 7, 2024.

We’re looking to build our media library with photos that show off Alaska’s diverse mariculture industry – you can submit an unlimited number of photos, and are not limited to contest categories. We are especially seeking photos of the industry’s faces in action – that means action shots! 

Prizes

1st place in each category: $200

Honorable mentions: $50

People’s choice award* : $200

* This award will be determined by attendees of the Mariculture Conference of Alaska

Terms and Conditions

By entering the Mariculture Photo Contest and submitting photos, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
The Alaska Mariculture Alliance (AMA) and the Alaska Mariculture Cluster (AMC) reserve the right to free reproduction and altering of all photo submissions. AMA and AMC obtains the right to share photo submissions with Alaska mariculture industry members, and promotional partners around the world for the purpose of marketing, outreach, and education. For each entered image, AMA and AMC will have unlimited usage rights in perpetuity for all formats and in all locations. When a photo is submitted to the AMA Mariculture Photo Contest it immediately becomes considered an AMA and AMC asset, which can be used by any person, partner or business to whom AMA grants permission. Photo credit is not guaranteed for all uses of images.
